The perfect intellectual property system and how will it deal with “free”?

Intellectual Property Nirvana: Duncan Bucknell

I spotted the above link about the perfect intellectual property system¬†on Duncan Bucknell’s twitter feed and eagerly clicked to find THE answer.

…oh well, it was worth a try! ūüôā¬† I was going to say that there is no such thing as a free lunch, but refrained as I’m aware that¬†it is a dying phrase!¬† The new generation is growing up in an economy where free is normal and not just something with a catch!¬† See the short video clip with Chris Anderson discussing “free”.¬† This is going to require a lot of¬†what Duncan Bucknell was talking about, and that is “debate about how the intellectual property system should evolve“.¬†¬†Surely there must be¬†lessons for IP practitioners in a¬†public goods environment here — but which ones?
